We have spent this week reading stories about Dragons, decorating our class dragons, making dragon puppets and using descriptive words to describe different types of dragons. This will lead us nicely into celebrating Chinese New Year the week after next.

We have had a fantastic couple of weeks since returning after the half term. We started the week looking at Eric Carle books and paying particular attention to the fantastic artwork that the books contained. In Continuous Provision the children spent the week working in different ways and mediums. This enabled us to create some brilliant artwork inspired by Eric Carle’s books. The children also looked at some famous artists and copied their style/method of working.

Forest school also started and the children are having a great time exploring the environmental area and creating some transient artwork inspired by Andy Goldsworthy.
