The Pupil Premium Strategy

Pupil Premium Data Publication

The Pupil Premium funding is given to schools by the government with the aim of targeting learning for specific groups of children:

•    Pupils on Free School Meals (FSM) or those that have been identified for FSM in the past six years (‘Ever 6 FSM’).
•    Children in Care
•    Children belonging to Service families (Service Premium)

The funding is added to the planned expenditure already in place to meet the needs of all children in school, in order for them to make good to outstanding progress in their learning (as measured by OFSTED, Raise online, data from key stage assessments).
At St Mary’s, our aim to provide learning experiences which are ‘Building A Solid Base For The Future’ of all of our children. We provide an inclusive teaching and learning environment, so that all children are able to reach their potential both academically and socially. The Pupil Premium funding provides further support to potentially vulnerable groups of children within school that may experience a barrier to their learning. These barriers include; communication and physical development needs; social, emotional and behavioral needs and financial, hardship and other family or community related difficulties.

Our Pupil Premium Strategy is reviewed annually in September
